Brella?! What is it? Why should you use it?

Brella is a service provided by SHAZAM that protects your debit card when you enroll with their mobile app—Brella Card Manager.  Brella is a separate app from the Personal FCB and the First Citizens Bank Business mobile banking apps. The Brella mobile app has added security features to safeguard your debit card! If you don’t already have this great feature, consider enrolling to protect your accounts today!

Features of Brella:

  • Get alerts via email and/or text message when your card is used so you can quickly detect unauthorized or fraudulent activity on your account. Such as:
    • Purchases exceeding dollar amounts you set.
    • Purchases made via the internet or over the phone.
    • Suspicious or high-risk purchases.
  • Check your balances
  • Submit a travel notice
    • Add a trip to notify us of your travel plans using the "Manage Travel Notices" option.
  • Find nearby ATM’s
    • Search by city name or zip code OR if you have GPS Location Services enabled, the app will pinpoint your location and display ATM's near you. 
    • See if an ATM is 24 hours, Privileged Status, or accepts deposits
  • Send and receive money with NO FEES. Funds could be received same day or next business day.
    • New recipients must be registered and validated
  • Turn your debit card on/off in case of misplaced or lost card. This is IMMEDIATE so it helps control unauthorized spending. If you find your card, you can easily turn it back on.

Easy! Download the mobile app by searching “Brella Card Manager” from your device’s app store OR on our webpage

How to Enroll:

  • Download the Brella app
  • Select Register
  • Enter your debit card number
  • Review & accept product terms and conditions
  • Proceed with the Card Verification process and complete the User Profile Information
  • Activate the account via email activation link
